It appears that things have changed in the way people look at men and their masculinity. Ranging from the clothes they wear to the way men express sensitivity, you can flip a book and see how spontaneous it has gotten.

In the fashion scene, you can see men getting spontaneous about what they wear by choosing clothes originally worn by woman. Men’s skirts are being worn more. The jeans have gotten skinnier. Men are even outgrowing their beard, so they can decorate it with flowers. You can even find a man in church wearing large hats that most women are known for wearing.
You can also find men often decorating their nails, getting manicures and pedicures at the hair salon, for they care about their grooming as much as women do.
Men were categorized as nonemotional people, but various types of men like the metrosexuals paint another story. People often mistaken a metrosexual for being a gay man based on how they carry themselves from the way they talk to how they dress, and how they express their emotions. In the end, they’re not. These are straight men who love women as much as the strict man does. They just express it differently.
It has also changed perspectives legally. Nowadays, you hear a story about a man who took his wife’s last name instead of her taking his. This is a significant thing, for it has changed the way people also look at marriage.
With that being said, is it really time to start looking at male masculinity? Will both genders get so spontaneous that it truly will end with us becoming unisex? Only time will tell. Until then, let’s see where the world takes us.
