It’s Pride season everywhere and as a nice gesture of inclusion and support, Alaska Airlines has provided travelers headed to specific pride cities a discount ranging from 7% – 10%.

And of course a few would-be travelers of Alaska air had something to say. Including: “My wife and I would like our discounts also! While your trying to be politically correct we are proud heterosexuals” , “So, would this be considered discrimination against those who are not part of the LGBT community?” as well as “I dont see a heterosexual flag in the midst! Come on Alaska Air you can do better…”
Alaska Airlines social media team responded respectfully to the litany of hateful comments. As many of the comments condemned AA for being discriminatory, AA continually preached that the discounts were available to anyone that wanting to use it. It’s pretty cool when a business thinks outside the proverbial box and does what a business is supposed to do, serve the consumers.
